Where are the best places to have a meal or drink locally?

I remember similar complaints when Fratelli opened, but they soon got very slick. Hopefully the same for these guys.

There was hardly anything available on the menu, the other tables hadn't been cleared, the floor needed sweeping, they managed to bring 2 out 3 orders wrong, and when they went to pay they were asked to provide exactly the correct amount owing in cash because the till wasn't working.

Sounds as if they are running it "hand to mouth" s to speak - not a good omen for running a prosperous business!!
Pity, because it's location is excellent for the French Cafe style that they seem to be cultivating.
May be the New Year will see them hopefully make a better impression. :AA

Anybody eaten/drank in there recently? I am told that our old chum Lord Shayler was spotted outside last night (Saturday) chatting to the bouncer.
