The white Hart

Where are the best places to have a meal or drink locally?

So who has been - what did you think? It looks lovely in the town now, and all other scaffolding is down also :)

I saw people in there when I walked past at 10 am Saturday, so was getting busy already.

I see that they are not going to make use of the car park or the guest accommodation, so maybe the rest of the businesses in town won't benefit much as the 2 hours parking would mean that people will need to shoot off.

We had a meal there and I was almost caught out as the main doesn't come with any salad or potatoes but, that said, the chicken was outstanding

We went in and were so impressed - they must have spent a fortune. My other half used to work there before it closed down so we were really interested to see what they had done with it.

They have done exactly what was needed and taken it in a direction that fits in well with the town - I think they will do well. Not the sort of place that requires a late license now.

It's very nicely decorated but I don't think I'll go for meal again. We had pasta but it wasn't great - no much taste. There are nicer pubs & nicer food around. Quite disappointed to be honest. Heard other ppl had bad services and complained about the food.

Maybe it was a bad day - we've eaten there twice now and it's been lovely (didn't have the pasta though to be fair).

Our first visit to the refurbished White Hart at lunchtime today. Both very satisfied with the food and service. As anticipated it was not cheap, but we would rather have one quality meal than go out twice for modest ones.

I have heard mixed reviews, both on service and food, I guess always difficult with new establishment and new staff. I plan to do lunch there :)

I visited for the first time on Saturday evening although I was only there for a drink as opposed to feeding.
Nicely decorated and set out. I thought it was a bit expensive. £11 odd for a pint and a glass of wine.
I'll go again in similar circumstances but doubt it will become a regular haunt for me.
I was a bit surprised it was as quiet as it was. Perhaps a good proportion of their clientele were off promming it in the park.
To jest pieprzone rondo!

they seem to have a fire tonight. when I went past there was 2 fire engines in attendance plus the fire officers car and hoses into the building. also a third fire engine was on route as I passed it on the A507. hope it was not badly damaged after all the work they had put into the place.

There was a posting on FB, I think it was something that overheated or shorted out---much the same as Blow and Go with their straighteners
