Board games can be valuable educational tools. A fine example is Pandemic a co-opeative game where players take on specialist roles and work together in a race against time to cure and then eradicate 4 x diseases from across the globe. Pandemic has been used in schools to highlight the spread of Ebola.

"In Pandemic, several virulent diseases have broken out simultaneously all over the world! The players are disease-fighting specialists whose mission is to treat disease hotspots while researching cures for each of four plagues before they get out of hand."

Aged 10+
2-4 players

Pandemic, along with several expansion, is avaialble to try before you buy via the Ampthill & Distric Board Game club
