I always thought of it as Breakheart Hill but a family walked past earlier and were talking about Heartbreak Hill, not that I'm an eavesdropper you understand. Young sarek pointed out that it was Breakheart Hill, I was too cold to care at the time. I posted the two options as the seed of doubt had been sown.
Anyway, vote has been cast.

Breakheart hill is in the woods behind the garden centre at Millbrook. Its recorded on the OS Maps

http://www.geograph.org.uk/browse.php?p=213494

I always understood Heartbreak hill was in Russet Plantation

In the army most hills troops use for running up and down are known as bastard hill.

Whatever it's called, I'm NOT climbing it! :D
Was still reading the Daily Mail online to make sure I've not yet become a grumpy old man.
Then one day, I found I was screaming at the screen.
Now banned from a coffee shop :-)

Calling it a hill is a bit of a liberty, it's an almost flat approach from Woburn Road (though there is a little valley on the far side of it. But you cannot get to it now anyway; it is on the inside of the Center Parcs fence.

The diverted path presents a steeper climb and has required the installation of steps. The summit of the new path is about 10 metres higher than Breakheart Hill.

According to the 1932 OS map it was known in those days as Breakheart Hill - maybe the Heartbreak Hill reference stems from the 80's when the movie Heartbreak Ridge was released?

Breakheart Hill in AMPTHILL PARK is mentioned in Andrew Underwood's book "Around Ampthill" (pub.1992). It goes down towards the Rezzi. and is marvellous for sledging in the icy weather.
Another Breakheart Hill is shown on the OS map in the woods being used by Centre Parks.

As a relative newcomer, I'm afraid I assumed that we were talking about the only hill of that name that I have seen on the current large scale OS map. Apologies if I got hold of the wrong end of the stick.

Climbed it the other day and suggest name change to Breakback Mountain. Not doing that again.

Also thought it was Heartbreak Hill - does that mean I'm young?
