Internet connection in Houghton Conquest?

Postby ellesbelles57 » Wed Nov 06, 2013 12:44 pm

I am about to move to Houghton Conquest and upon telephoning Sky to arrange our TV, broadband etc we were informed that its a very, very weak internet signal in the area and there's nothing I can do about it. Now I am complete numpty on all things techno, but is it right that working from home will be nigh on impossible? I find it hard to believe in this day and age, but as I know nada about such matters I am currently in the hands of the Sky Gods as to what I can and should do...

Try BT. Fast Broadband, and now you can get Sports - if you are so inclined.
Not perhaps the cheapest, but I recommend it. :AA

We don't have fast BB in this end of Ampthill, but it is fine for working from home, we don't have cable here. You can google stuff about speeds, I do know people that live in Houghton conquest and don't think they have problems, not that they have mentioned. they have no gas :) so only oil and electricity for heating.
