I see that the introduction of fines as standard on M1 might happen:

I see our "friend" Olly Martins is behind this very bright idea.
I am not in favour of doing a ton on the M.1 -on the other hand, to do 75 when conditions allow should not be frowned upon.
I just can't wait for the elections for a new Police Commissioner, it will be a chance to find someone with a bit more ..... what's the word?
Anyway a change is what we all need from this man's constant publicity seeking interference.

Having travelled on the M1 locally recently, I'd imagine that getting over 70 would be something of a pipe dream.
Cue the variable speed limits going up and down like a nutcase on a trampoline. Oh, hang on....
