In the garden.

Postby Sagitar » Sat Feb 20, 2016 7:25 pm

We've not had a lot of birds in the garden recently, so I was very pleased to get this shot of a bright and shiny Magpie.

The other visitor that I was much less pleased to see was this male Muntjac. I first spotted him cropping the heads from the emergent spring flowers.

When I disturbed him, he took little notice; just stared back

It wasn't until I walked within a few feet of him that he took off through the hedge. I fear they are going to be a real nuisance again this year.

Less birds in the garden, Muntjac very bold------is that down to disturbed habitat in the park do you think?

Lovely pictures though! Hope you are keeping well.

The new broods are appearing. We've already seen Robins, Blackbirds and Chaffinches feeding their young ones. Today this fledgling Coal Tit appeared. It looked very dozy and I would guess it was only just out of the nest.

what a great photo, love it with his fluffy head :) I was enjoying watching a bullfinch on the garden yesterday trying to eat the dandelion seed heads that were just too tall for him.
