Passed it the other day and work going on inside -- aiming for November opening -- a lot to do apparently! Not sure if it will be Mexican again.

That's a pity. We could do with a proper restaurant in Ampthill, like Earls was in its prime. It's a nuisance to have to go to Elstow or Woburn for a decent meal.

Sizzla - you are quite right - the White Hart is really overpriced and is basically an upmarket Mcdonalds - the POW is awful and we have given up going there due to the terrible meals. Donnatellos used to be a decent night out but their prices have rocketed and Fratellis is like eating in a large café .

There is always the Dew Drop. And a few curry houses. The French Horn at Steppingley isn't bad either.

I heard that they did up the kitchens at the dew drop, did they do any refurb in the restaurant?
